How to commission a portrait
1. Contact the artist
Contact Chris by email at cdiduch@primus.ca
to discuss
your portrait and costs.
2. Commission Proposal
Every portrait is a custom-made original artwork, so costs vary.
Following your discussion Chris will
prepare a commission proposal outlining requirements,
proposed timeline, shipping details and fees. Generally, the artist
will require a minimum of two-three weeks to complete a portrait
following receipt of a deposit.
The proposal will include a proposed
timeframe for the following activities:
a) Deadline for receipt of photos.
b) Date for emailing of initial photo of the general layout or preliminary drawing for approval.
c) Following approval – completion of the work, in style agreed upon.
d) Date for emailing photo of completed artwork and due date for balance of payment.
e) On receipt of payment, final artwork delivered in method agreed upon in proposal. (Insurance and shipping fees included in original estimate.)

If you agree to the proposal you will
be asked to send a 50% deposit
of the total cost of your portrait. Payments can be made the following

4. Provision of photos
To recreate your valued portrait Chris
will need several photographs. A quality photo of the subject matter is
needed along with several other photos that will be used for
references. If you are within a 30-minute drive of Chris, she can take
the photos of the subject herself and this requirement will have been
noted in the Commission Proposal with a defined timeframe.
